Impressions of Jerusalem

During my exchange semester in Oslo we had the unique opportunity to accompany our professor Apolonija Sustersic to a research trip to Palestine. These 10 days in the Middle East were eye-opening and mind broadening for me, giving me insights into the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its consequences for people living in the West-Bank. Visiting Jerusalem, the holy city for Jews, Christians and Moslems alike and witnessing those streams of tourists and religious practitioners made me want to film in order to digest more easily what I see as well as to give me this momentum of the quiet spectator — being at the core of something and yet outside, protected by the camera.
